“Powerful Kids’ Books on the Immigrant Experience”

I’m honored the Brightly newsletter people included my story, One Good Thing About America, in this new article on kids’ books depicting the immigrant experience. One of my favorites, if you haven’t seen it yet, is the graphic novel, When Stars Are Scattered, by Victoria Jamieson and Omar Mohamed, a wonderful and sweet story about two brothers living in the Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya.
